Climate summit “One Planet Summit” in Paris

On Dec. 12, 2017 – exactly 2 years after the Paris Agreement was adopted – the first “One Planet Summit” was held in Paris. This was followed by meetings in New York (2018) and Nairobi (2019).

 

The “One Planet Summit” was launched by France, the World Bank and the United Nations. It serves as a platform for international society and aims to accelerate the implementation of the Paris climate agreement and encourage more investment in climate protection. The members are certain:

 

In order to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, stronger commitments need to be made, more concrete decisions need to be taken, and public life & the business community need to be mobilized for joint efforts.
